Lenovo Legion Y520 Random Shut Down

I have had a Y520 for about 2 years now. Recently it was began to randomly shut down. It does not matter what I am doing on the laptop and it shut down doing college work, gaming, drawing, and just sitting there idle. I have checked updates and everything is up to date like drivers, graphic card drivers, windows, and so on.

It first started only doing it when I was not plugged in and running on battery. Then recently is had started to do the same thing when it is plugged in. Another problem is it the screen will shut off and go black. Then when I try to click any buttons the laptop is frozen and I have to hard shut it down. Even trying to dim they keyboard lights will not work when it does this. 

Hopefully this is enough info. Please ask for more if needed! I really need my laptop figured out cause College is important..
