L380 battery type

I bought this Thinkpad L380 not too long ago. Since this is my first laptop I wanted to know more about the battery, how to charge it, what are the best practices, how to keep it in good condition. I read some reviews before buying it and some of them showed what is inside the chassis including the battery, which was a li-ion one. The pictures agreed with the product specification reference which also states that this model comes with a li-ion battery. After installing the lenovo vantage software things got a bit confusing because it reports that the device chemistry is li-polymer. I then generated a battery report with powercfg which also shows that the battery chemistry is LiP. I believe it should be a li-ion but It would be great if someone could confirm this. Suggestions on optimal charge levels while using the machine with the charger or links to recommended articles on this topic are also welcome!
