Lenovo y520 keyboard warranty

Hi, I've bought a Lenovo y520 ~6 months ago from Romania. After 1 week I've bought an SSD and I installed it myself because I've done it before and I know what I'm doing. I have some questions because recently I sent it into service (with my SSD installed) because of the well known keyboard problem.

1. Does opening it and installing the SSD without damaging or breaking anything voids guarantee? (Does it matter the country?)

2.If not, the service telled my that I lost my guarantee because in the lenovo documentations says so (but I've read it and it doesn't tell that + there was no sticker or seal) and that the keyboard is broken because of me but that's impossible because it's a manufacturing defect and everyone knows it(but I've read it and it doesn't tell that + there was no sticker or seal)
