Lenovo Ideapad 310-15ISK USB ports not working.

Hi! As of yesterday, all three of my USB ports malfunctioned, and whenever I plug in anything new it says "USB device not recognised, The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it".  It also shows "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" with a yellow exclamation mark and "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed" in Device Manager. There's definitely power coming from the USB ports, just they don't respond to anything I plug in, such as my mouse. I've tried everything I can find online about the error, except updating my BIOS.  However, the BIOS that pcsupport.lenovo.com suggests for my laptop also gives me the warning message "This BIOS is only for Lenovo ideapad 310/510 - 14/15ISK(with touch).  Are you sure you want to update this BIOS on this machine?"  As I don't have a touchscreen, I'm not 100% sure it's the right one.  If anyone could please let me know which BIOS update I should install, or (even better) how to fix my USB issue, that would be fantastic.  Thank you!
